I have seen hovering lights in the sky, east of Lake Macquarie. Have been seeing them for weeks now, there are usually 2 but tonight 25th May, 2019 at 11.30pm there are 3 sitting in the sky. They are longish and appear to rotate as you can see a flashing red light, then white. Each time I spot them late at night and they appear in different parts of the sky around this area. Last week one seemed to be moving closer and closer and my dog noticed it too. He wouldn't take his eyes off it. Anyone with any idea what they are?
