At 1:29 am on December the 24th I was driving home from the gym and a hazy glowing ball of light travelling smoothly across the sky over Bellevue Heights caught my eye. I sat and watched it and noticed there were not flashing lights like a plane and it looked strange to me. All of a sudden it started emitting a glowing white trail in a cone shape behind it that kept spreading wider and wider. After about 30 seconds the trail cut off and the centre ball continued moving east across the sky. The trail afterwards left behind a smoky mark in the sky which looked like one big circle and one smaller circle. I eventually lost track of the moving light as it went behind some trees but I was stunned for quite some time after. Very, very strange. I'm wondering if anybody else saw this?
