For our August meeting we are very pleased to be having Bill Chalker as our guest speaker.
Bill is one of Australia’s leading UFO researchers.
He is the author of “The OZ Files – the Australian UFO Story” (1996), “Hair of the Alien” (2005), the Australian chapter in the history time “UFOs and Government” (2012), and the author of the Australian content in each of the editions of “The UFO Encyclopedia” (the latest edition appearing in 2025).
Bill will be popular and we have deferred our AGM to September to allow Bill maximum time.
Bill Chalker brings his 5 decades of research into the UFO / UAP mystery to focus on the extraordinary year of 1973, when it seemed like the US was being invaded by UFOs.
It was just 4 years prior, that the US Air Force had sponsored a scientific study – the infamous Condon Committee study – and concluded that there was nothing of merit, to the subject.
Bill will delve into the fascinating Pascagoula Incident (1973), where Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker, reported being abducted by aliens while fishing on the Pascagoula River in Mississippi.
Meanwhile, in 1973, Australia was also experiencing unusual UFO events.
Bill will describe the impact of all this with his own experiences and investigations during that extraordinary year and compare it all to the situation we have now with UAP / UFOs.
It was certainly a period of high impact UFO experiences worldwide.
