We saw what looked like a line of light or lights over the Watagan Mountains looking South toward the Quorrobolong Valley. All of us were having a restless sleep from around 2 am, on the first dry night after a month of rain. The sky was clear and stars were visible. I got up at around 4.15 am to check on our dog and saw a large light, in the sky over the Watagan Mountains. I wasn't sure what it was so grabbed my glasses for a clearer view. The 'line of light' seemed to be flashing/sparkling red, green and white. I woke my husband to take a look, he is at a loss to explain what it was. It seemed to move a little, but hard to detect. It stayed fairly still then moved behind the mountain and therefore out of view, after about ten minutes.

Hi all, second time now. I have seen the 'moving star', however this time it stopped and has been stationary for about one hour (9:30 to 10:30 pm). I was driving north and saw the moving star in the same vicinity as the last time then it stopped (North by North East). I photographed the object but was too far off so the images were not clear.

Like Kelly and Stefan, approximately 8:30 pm tonight as my wife and I were out for our nightly walk we saw what looked like a star, moving slowly north, 'There were no flashing lights to indicate it was a plane, and then it just faded to nothing; gone into thin air.' Kelly you took the words right from my mouth so I have used your description. In fact, in the past week I have now seen three including this 'star shaped object' sightings. I believe the first two were possibly shooting stars? This was not! It was also very low in the sky and there was no noise at all, we live in a rural part of town. At this time other than the calls of the Kookaburras it is usually quiet so if it was a 'plane' of sorts we would have heard the 'engine' noises. Just came home and went on the net typed into Google for sightings and found this site.

At approximately 9.10 pm on 11 March 2017 I was viewing the night sky when I witnessed a bright object that appeared to be a star. The object started moving gradually, no noise or blinking light to indicate it was an aeroplane. Watched it move across the night sky for approximately three minutes and it faded away completely. I'm very perplexed as to what it could be. As soon as this happened there was another, on a perpendicular trajectory to the first, again no noise or blinking lights to indicate it was an aeroplane. And it also faded away completely after approximately three to four minutes.

I'm sorry it has taken me a few weeks to post this but I didn't know what to do with the information. It has been bothering me and I wondered if anyone else saw this object. As such I had to go back on my calendar, it was either the 11 or 12 of February 2017 (more likely Sunday the 12). We live fairly high up and look out over the ocean. I was watching TV in the middle of the day. I have windows all along the wall behind the TV facing the ocean. Suddenly, I saw a black odd shaped object moving quickly from the left to right (north NSW, travelling south towards Newcastle). It was so strange, my initial impression was it was a black garbage bag blowing in the wind. I guess because your mind tries to explain something that you only glimpse for split-second, finding something familiar. It was so strange the way it came across that I got up and walked onto the balcony. There was no noise coming from the object. I watched it and it had moved off to the right and stopped moving and was hovering. I was trying to understand what it was which is why I mention there was no noise, it was hovering like a helicopter. I was transfixed by it, then it reversed direction and travelled back across the way it had come but further out over the water. Sometimes it was moving slow, sometimes fast, sometimes a straight line and sometimes it kind of looped around. It eventually climbed really fast straight up then hovered for awhile now quite a distance offshore. I was trying to keep watching it when my husband interrupted me, I turned for about three seconds and when I turned back it... Read more

I was trying to keep watching it when my husband interrupted me, I turned for about three seconds and when I turned back it had vanished. Nothing, and I mean nothing, could disappear from the skyline in that amount of time. I have lived near airports my whole life and are quite familiar with aircraft due to my previous job. I have never seen anything behave like this object. As I watched my neighbour was outside doing yard work with his back to the object. Because the object was completely silent it did not catch his attention and I was speechless so I couldn't call out to him to look. I thought this bizarre object has just gone by this man and because it was silent he didn't notice it. I thought it would be made mention of in the newspaper or local news but I have heard nothing. It has been bothering me ever since and I found this guestbook. I was hoping another person near the coast had seen this object. The only thing I would add is that observing this object and straining to see clearly, what I initially took for a black garbage bag had a black underside, that for the life of me, I cannot find the words to describe. The object appeared to be more rectangular. The top, which I could see while it was hovering, appeared smaller, shiny silver in colour and circular. The object moved with purpose and made movements that were extraordinarily fast. This object was not a balloon, drone or plane. I take heart in reading that it's not just me, other people are witnessing UFOs up and down the east coast of Australia.... Collapse

On 8 March 2017, at 10 pm I was standing on my patio looking across the road when I witnessed an object travelling south at high speed. The object resembled a typical flying saucer, it looked like a upturned saucer upon another. The light emitted from the saucer was very bright white, and it seemed to be glowing. The ends were slightly rounded, and the outline was blurred. It was silent and travelled in a straight line. The saucer was visible for approximately five seconds before my view was obscured by the roof of the house opposite.

My husband and I were looking at the sky on Sunday 5 March 2017 at around 9pm. There was a red spot on the sky. It was not moving and then it moved in z motion. It stopped, the red light was gone for few seconds then appeared again. After a few seconds I thought it was gone but actually it was moving and turned into green light and fly away. At the begining we thought it might be a flying camera. But it would not be flying that long distance with the remote control I suppose?

Last night the 2 March 2017, I saw about eight UFOs in the sky with flashing white, green and red lights. This was around 8.30 pm. They were just hovering in the distance. They were too far away to identify. Later it became cloudy so I was unable to observe. I was in the Hurstville, NSW area at the time of the sighting.

It was late in the afternoon and I was down near the beach with my daughter who is two years old. We walked along past the pool and she started to play on the rocks near the foot path. I'm a smoker so I thought here is my chance to step away from her a couple of metres so I could have a cigarette. As I was smoking the cigarette I was looking at the sky and the sea. Out of nowhere a UFO appeared, it was low and the clouds were low. The UFO was glowing an orange colour and was shaped like a fat saucer. The UFO appeared to resonate in this orange colour, a bit like a hologram as it moved through the cloud. The cloud showed an orange glow like reflection that was similar to the shape of the UFO. When the UFO came out of the cloud again, into the open sky, it was still resonating in this orange colour. The weather conditions were clear sky with a few scattered clouds. The UFO was silent. The sighting lasted a few seconds and then it was gone, I don't mean it flew off, it just disappeared. The shape of it was like a saucer but fatter and around the edges. The UFO appeared blurred, like it was pulsing out of focus. I could not explain what the UFO was doing, it was large and I could see it very clearly for a few seconds. Pete

I woke and lay in bed looking out the sliding door beside my bed into the night sky while listening to the waves. I saw a triangle shape rotating clockwise horizontally and moving to the south. The altitude of the object was about 60 metres above my roof and moving slowly ten or twenty kilometers per hour. The object was black and it seemed to absorb light. I could only see the corner of the object, it therefore appeared to be over my roof. The part I could see was about 15 metres from the point to the edge of my roof. The weather was slightly hazy and cloudy. I jumped out of bed fast and quickly got outside to get a better look but the object was gone. No sound at all. I could feel an energy or vibration in the air. I felt it knew I had seen it and taken evasive action. I did not see the direction the object left, I can only assume a south or south westerly direction. I have no photographic or video evidence of this sighting.

At approximately 11 am on Monday, 13 February 2017 at Darling Harbour in Sydney, I noticed what appeared to be a stationary object in the sky approximately south west. The object was high and appeared to be rotating on its axis. The object looked to be vertical in length. I continued watching from a taxi boat on my way to my cruise ship. After a half hour the object disappeared. I'm wondering if any others had seen this object or know what it is?

Hi, I live in Cawongla, NSW and I was laying in bed Tuesday 31 January 2017 looking out through the trees at the stars in a south easterly direction at approximately 11.30 pm. I noticed what appeared to be a very large and very clear bright object move rapidly from the west to east. I thought this was a shooting star but then noticed it slowing down and changing course towards the ground behind the trees and then slowing down. The interesting part is without wearing glasses objects appear to have a blurry outline. This object was so bright with a clearly defined circular shape as if my eyesight was normal. Did anyone else see anything in the Northern Rivers district that night? On Sunday night, the 29 January 2017, my wife said she saw a very bright glowing object in the same direction. She thought it was the moon and dismissed it. I told her that the Moon is not in that part of the sky during summer.

Have been seeing many strange lights in the sky every night for the last three weeks. One night at approximately 1 am my partner and I saw a large bright orange light above the tree line. The light then dropped below the tree line on the farm. We thought it was someone with a torch. About two weeks later I was driving to the silos at the front of the farm at approximately 10 pm and saw the same orange light. It moved and danced and dropped behind the trees then faded out in the distance. Have seen it twice above the shed when the light dropped behind the shed then moved off towards the front of the farm and disappeared. Have taken many photos of the light. Often there is a light that flashes blue, orange and red. In some photos it appears to be boomerang shaped. The photos show two bright white lights and I have captured the light when it is blue.
