SUMMARY:2 June 2018 Presentation by Jaimie Leonarder on UFOs and the Media
DESCRIPTION:Our June speaker is Jaimie Leonarder.\n\nJaimie is a committee 
 member and UFO researcher.&nbsp\; He will take us on a journey behind the 
 scenes of the many radio and television UFO related productions he has wor
 ked on.&nbsp\; In the early 1990's he travelled to the Nullarbor for his R
 adio National production\, titled\, To Catch a Flying Star.&nbsp\; He inve
 stigated the Knowles UFO encounter and has also collected an extensive his
 tory of Australian UFO sighting reports.\n\nIn 1994 he was approached by M
 ystery Clock and Alex Proyas to become head researcher on a television pil
 ot called\, Conspiracy.&nbsp\; In this production he organised interviews 
 with Bob Lazar\, John Lear and Jim Keith.\n\nJaimie has consulted on other
  Australian UFO related documentaries including\, The Extraordinary\, West
 all 66 and Australien Skies.\n\nThe new millennium brought a role as co-ho
 st on the SBS TV\, The Movie Show\, where he managed to subversively engin
 eer a few stories on the UFO topic.\n\nWe will go behind the camera for an
  array of stories on the people and places involved in these productions.\
 n\nJaimie's wife\, Aspasia\, has tracked down lost archival footage and so
 und bites from their extensive archives\, which Jaimie will be presenting.
 \n\nThis will be not only be an in-depth insight into the media involvemen
 t in the UFO topic\, but also a light hearted look into the personal side 
 behind the scenes.\n\nAs most of you know\, Jaimie Leonarder is an excelle
 nt presenter and this will be an entertaining and lively presentation.\n\n
 \n\nMeeting entry is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.\n\nThe Club 
 is near to Burwood Railway Station.\n\nThere is $5 parking at the Wilson c
 ar park directly behind the club.
