Ben Hansen is a well known television host and lead investigator of the USA’s Syfy Channel’s, Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files. Ben has appeared on and produced several other television programs such as ‘UFOs Declassified’ on the Smithsonian and Canada History Channels.
He lectures and appears at conferences around the world. Ben grew up in Utah and his supportive parents encouraged in him his thirst to explore many interests, such as becoming a licensed airplane pilot, amateur radio operator, licensed falconer, certified scuba diver, hang glider and, search and rescue dog handler.
The X-Files gave him an insatiable desire as a teenager to explore mysteries of the unknown has graduated from college with an Honours BA in Sociology, Criminology and Corrections. Ben has worked for several private and public crime agencies before becoming a special agent for the FBI.
Ben leads a team of five specialists who travel the world looking for answers to many mysteries. Confronting the relationship of seeing and believing, the team has witnessed and documented dozens of unbelievable events. Apart from filming shows and documentaries, Ben is often asked to provide analysis for images and videos for the Huffington Post, Weird News column.
Event entry is $20 for members and $25 for non-members and includes tea, coffee and biscuits during the break.
