Day 2 Conference Summary

After a much needed good night's sleep DAY TWO OF THE CONFERENCE BEGAN WITH WELL KNOWN AUSTRALIAN RESEARCHER: Barry Taylor. Barry's forte to date has been video analysis of UFO footage but for this conference he changed his focus to UFOs and Angels? Is The Truth Unfolding?

Barry began by impressing upon the audience the longevity of the UFO phenomenon and referring to the Egyptian and pre-Egyptian connection and the images that appear on the walls of the pyramids which have a striking similarity to modern day helicopters and jets. He reminded us of the Nazi interest in UFOs while suggesting ancient and secret societies had advanced technology.

To support this claim he showed images of UFOs in religious artworks. Barry fitted UFOs into 3 categories, craft, probes and other category takes us from extraterrestrial to celestial experiences and to give an example of this he put together an animated example of his last moments with his father in hospital when his mother saw two white lights outside the window with Barry himself seeing a golden cylindrical object. Another time he was working freelance for a local news show and was required to be at a serious accident scene where he also saw a white orb with the lustre of a glazed pearl and a teardrop shape falling from it. Could it be we are still to discover ultraterrestrials? One can only wonder.

THE NEXT PRESENTER WAS: Dudley Robb. Who's presentation was entitled A Paradox Of Realities. Dudley's focus was on all things spacewise, SETI, asteroids and humanity emerging as a space dweller. He brought our attention to the many asteroid strikes in the past that have wiped out life on Earth and how we could better utilise our armaments budget to focus on becoming an off planet society in case of another deadly strike.

To date there are 400 known Earth orbit crossing asteroids (EOCAS) but it is estimated by scientists there may be 4000. In 40 years SETI has only looked at 1% of the planets in our local neighbourhood but it will take another 100 years to map it completely.

Dudley referred to 3 types of civilizations; Type 0 ? our present civilization which has a lack of resources that creates stress,Type1? ideal or utopian life, Type2? local solar system coloniser. He made the point that even though we have attempted to leave Earth, in the past mankind has been kicked off the moon and the many failed Mars missions are by no means an accident. Could it be there are others in our neck of the woods that want us to keep our atomic and nuclear bombs to ourselves? If so, this demonstrates that ET is watching our movements very carefully.

Rex Gilroy from Blue Mountains UFO Research spoke to the topic of Blue Mountains UFOs/Time Windows. REX informed us of the military and intelligence interest in this area of Australia. There has been an increase of activity in the area and one report included a US MP complete with armbands appearing in the middle of bushland advising bushwalkers to clear out. There have also been reports of phantom cities of lights, people seeing the past, and hot and cold spots in the vicinity. Rex also gave us a pot pourri of UFO sightings and reports, with some of the images appearing in the Ufologist magazine Vol 6 No 2, 2002. Case histories appear there too. Following Rex was

John Auchettl from PRA (Phenomena Research Australia) who spoke on Ufology: A Technology Quandary. John began with advice to researchers to begin to do things differently. In the past we have not had the advantage of modern day technology, but today it seems we are still underutilising our resources. The barriers to UFO research are crumbling with the advent of the internet which makes communication faster, allows us to make rapid decisions, no longer needing to be in isolation, and information being directly available through the internet. Today we even have the choice to livecast information directly onto mobile phones if we so choose.

We also have the advantage of high speed sensors and computers that let us look at events and analyse them in fine detail. The future for UFO research is exciting. (Looks like we have run out of excuses not to do it well, doesn't it) John gave us an analysis of the amount of hours it takes to research information for A TV episode, crime investigation and an accident investigation pointing out how little time UFO researchers actually take to be thorough with UFO cases. He estimated the research time involved with the Frederick Valentich disappearance case to be 120 days, the NZ case with Quentin Fogarty 90 days, Knowles incident 162 days, and the Kelly Cahill abduction case 180 days, to make his point.

There are very few other cases that Australian researchers have put this amount of time into. John suggested that we put more fields of inquiry onto our report forms to expand the data gathering which may help to mine our data earlier on in the investigation. For reference on how to do this better he referred to the book "Data Mining" by Jiawei Han. So what is holding
Ufology back? To this question John states "we learn not to ask certain questions which makes us so unfamiliar with our own universe."

Lucy Gomez and Graciela Flain were next to speak on the Divine Connection. Graciela and Lucy became interested in UFOs in South America before migrating to Australia and have retained their connection with UFO groups there. Lucy only spoke briefly about visions she has had which include her purpose in life and the Earth's place in the cosmos. Graciela spoke of her personal journey which started in 1975 when she began yoga studies. This led her to the Hare Krisna's and to the UFO phenomenon in 1987.

In 1989 she had a contact experience and since then has had many sightings while developing the gift of healing. Earlier in 2002 she was invited to travel to the USA with researchers and contactees to gather information from the Spanish speaking community. Graciela showed some remarkable photos of a contactee being lifted into a hovering UFO. If they are real then they are probably the only photos of their kind. Amazing! Graciela has also spent time at the ranch of James Gililand also a contactee, who is well known for his video footage. She claims that in many parts of the world contactees have gone underground but in South America they are still to be found.

FOLLOWING WAS A SPEAKER WHO HAILED FROM NEW ZEALAND: Sue Hanson. Sue's presentation was entitled Collaborate or Corroborate? She began by giving a description of Truth, which is at first ridiculed, then opposed, before becoming self-evident and finally recognised. Sue is hoping that somewhere along the way the "hundredth monkey effect" will kick in bringing a change to our human mental condition and broaden our horizons, but until then awareness can only increase so it's a waiting game for now.

Sue finds herself fitting into the abduction, contactee and experiencer categories and demonstrates the evolving nature of some experiences people have. Sue had abduction experiences in early childhood and in her early twenties an experience of missing time and fears about gynaecological interference Soon after her experiences changed to learning and teaching contacts. Sue also has memories of being on board a craft with human looking beings.

She told of the impact her experiences had on her life including her precognitive and psychic abilities which created problems in her first marriage ending in divorce. She now understands that longitudinal studies by aliens on members of her family have taken place. Sue found the pivotal point in her experiences was when she was told by aliens she was their child and this began a reassessment of her life and the various coincidences that may not have been as they seemed.

THE LAST SPEAKER OF THE DAY: Martin Gottschall who spoke on the topic of Time Travel Is Knocking On Our door. His thesis was that time travel could have been discovered during the last century, and its discovery is therefore imminent. He pointed out that many of the fundamental physical processes of Nature possessed polarity, like electricity, magnetism, motion, rotation, force, matter and light, while some, like inertia, energy, gravity and time did not.

Our most powerful technologies are based on the phenomena possessing polarity, where we can create and uncreate effects at will. Martin showed how one of the equations of Special Relativity can be graphed as a complete circle, and how this graph suggests the existence of "antienergy" which polarises time, inertia and gravity, making possible communication and travel in time as well as space, and in particular instant communication and instant travel.

When time travel is discovered, it will present society with numerous challenges, since it will then be able to communicate with its past and future. These challenges are similar to those presented by ET contact, and can be used as an indicator of what will be required of us when we adapt to ET contact.
