For those who did not attend the conference, below is a glimpse of the speaker topics for you to enjoy.
DAY ONE OF THE CONFERENCE BEGAN WITH: Paul Norman from VUFORS, a long time Australian investigator, who spoke on UFOs Serious Business. Paul gave the audience a run down on various cases he had been involved with dating back to the 1960's through to the present day. Although many of the cases were familiar it was when Paul began to speak about the "disaster" cases that he made his point.
These cases included Captain Thomas Mantell whose plane came down in pieces after he radioed he had witnessed a huge metallic disc; Larry Coyne, a helicopter pilot, whose helicopter was hit by a an object with a thumping noise, this was also witnessed by a woman from the ground; Frederick Valentich who disappeared while flying over the Bass Straight after reporting seeing a UFO. Paul made the statement that the subject of UFOs had been treated indifferently by the press but it was indeed serious business as some people had lost their lives or come close to it.
Paul closed his presentation with some footage of the recent mystery lights over the Grampians in Victoria reporting that up to 20 lights have been seen at one time and seem to be under intelligent control. With only two houses in the valley and no street lighting the lights still remain a mystery.
THE NEXT SPEAKER WAS: Mary Rodwell from ACERN in Perth. The title of her presentation was Homo Noeticus? The New Human Mary has been working with adults and children who have had close encounters with alien beings, some frightening and some not. She has worked with approximately 600 cases and has had many reports from mothers about their unusual children who display advanced abilities like precognition, telekinesis, telepathy, levitation, as well as early development of walking, talking and reading skills.
These children who are referred to as Star Kids grow up to be adults who often have stronger physical bodies, photographic memories, mostly vegetarian and extreme sensitivities. Mary also quoted various authorities such as Dr Roger Leir and Dr Brenda Fox who state there has been a startling increasein the developmental changes in children over the last 50 years. Dr Fox states that major changes or mutations which are showing up now have not occurred since we evolved out of the water.
The challenge is we don't know what we are changing into. Apparently these changes have not been made public as scientists feel the public will be frightened by them. Mary also quoted another scientist who stated that the majority of human DNA seems to have no function which is referred to as "trash litter" and if ET has or is interfering with human DNA then it is likely to be found in this litter.
THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY: Bill Chalker's presentation entitled Saucers, Secrecy and Science. Bill's interest mainly lies in historical cases and he has also seen UFOs himself. At the moment he is investigating a case that occurred in the aboriginal community in 1969 when a group of 200 children and adults located on a mission observed an object approach them and as it did a gigantic mushroom cloud came up from behind the hill.
Another case had 7 or 8 children coming across a field of debri which suggested an impact of sorts. There were also reports of missing children and a hunting party that went missing too but was later returned.
Bill touched briefly on the Peter Khoury abduction case which had an alien hair sample as evidence and spoke on the DNA techniques used. Bill also announced there may now be another case with a hair sample as evidence. Looking into the future Bill suggested that UFO research adopt science as it's ally, that there needs to be more cooperation between UFO groups and researchers, more quality control is needed, and that Ufology needs to concentrate on documenting high quality data on hard evidence cases before they get lost in the annals of history.
THE NEXT SPEAKER WAS: James Courant from the USA, and his presentation was entitled Secrets of the Secret Keepers. James is an airline captain and has been interested in UFOs since 1962 when he joined NICAP and became a field investigator. The thrust of James' presentation was around the ET subject impacting on our "pop culture". He said it was tough having a serious conversation about the subject and not tie in Washington with Hollywood. James gave us a video montage of the UFO subject emerging into our "pop culture" with examples of adverts, cartoons and short skits.
He stated that the popular show UFO Coverup Live began the ball rolling in 1988 which he claimed was funded by the CIA. James stated that the production of the movie Independence Day took only took 6 months from it's inception to it's on screen debut. James said that it may have been produced virtually overnight to deflect the fast growing interest in Area 51.
He spoke briefly about the death of Bill Cooper who at the time was broadcasting a radio show from Snowflake Arizona and about the very small media coverage Steven Greer received in response to the National Press Club conference on the Disclosure Project in May 2001.
THE NEXT SPEAKER WAS: Moira McGhee from INUFOR. Presenting information on the Cases The Authorities Didn't Tell You About. Moira presented numerous incidents during which UFO's were seen and sometimes photographed or left other physical evidence, where the authorities had an involvement. Typically photographs and film were confiscated and witnesses were warned not to talk about their experiences.
In 1953 two witnesses saw a 20 foot disc near Wilcannia NSW and obtained a "really good" picture. When the incident was subsequently reported to the Air Force, their film and photos were confiscated. Fortunately, one print was later found. In 1956, again in Wilcannia, a husband and wife saw a similar object and obtained a box camera picture. This time all their photos and film were confiscated. In 1959, a witness in a car saw an object near the ground near Wilcannia which rose, hovered and seemed to control the car until it moved off. He was warned to be silent.
Moira drew on incidents from many parts of Australia and elsewhere illustrating at once the sameness of the incidents and the similarity in the responses of authorities in many countries. Surely the uniformity of the response by the authorities proves that they know something we do not, and that the subject is important to them. It is a kind of confirmation if such were needed, that the phenomenon is real and important.
OUR NEXT PRESENTER WAS: Paul Sowiak, past president of UFOR NSW, speaking to the topic of Alien Communication. He began by making the point that the UFO phenomenon impacts on humanity physically, psychologically and emotionally. Paul's view of the ET perspective of humanity is that of a culture living in organised chaos whose greatest weakness is that we work for self interest, not for group interest. If we are to believe the data Ufonauts are here to help us from ourselves, but can we be helped by an alien race that doesn't seem to be as smart as we may have once thought?
Some witnesses have reported that following an alien abduction experience they have been returned to their incorrect place of origin or their underwear is on backwards. Aliens have been known to be defeated by humans physically so a physical threat may not be an issue. However it is our mental condition that may prove to be the door through which ET can gain a foothold. Paul made the suggestion that a way of easily controlling humanity would be through our ESP emanations.
He felt that if ET were here to guide us as some have claimed, then they should be up front about their intentions and not approach humans like a thief in the night without their
consent. Paul was the only speaker who kept his time short enough to allow the audience to ask questions which they duly took advantage of, and a controversial repartee ensued.
AS EVERYONE SETTLED DOWN WE PREPARED FOR THE NEXT SPEAKER WHO WAS: Kevin Robb from South Australia. Kevin represented Australian Cosmic Connections and spoke about Dimensional Interaction In South Australia. Kevin began by telling the audience of his introduction to the UFO phenomenon which included a series of UFO sightings and a missing time experience at Waitpinga Beach in South Australia in 1995. He has been on a personal quest for answers since then which has led him to develop a healing modality as an aid in dealing with unwanted close encounter experiences.
Kevin suspects that many of his clients who come to him with health problems have had dimensional interference and during his healing sessions some people have reported dark masses of energy or alien beings and entities leave their bodies as they are sent to other realms for requalification of energy. Kevin also uses affirmations for removal of unwanted beings and claims that a multidimensional reality is all about expanding our consciousness.
